MiPins Brand Development
As a start-up, MiPins had created their logo, website and initial brochures on an ad-hoc basis. Facing a redesign of their product and an increased amount of marketing material to produce – it was important to refine their brand and construct rules to apply it consistently.
Starting with their current material, fire and flux conducted a Brand Review – looking at all aspects of their current brand to evaluate which elements were working well and which needed perfecting. As the most successful components, the logo itself and imagery were left as is. The typography was limited to one main sans serif font, and a complementary serif font added for extra personality and elegance. As consistency in application had been a problem previously – fonts were chosen that would be easily used on the the website as well as in printed materials. Colours were developed into a balanced and lively palette while graphic patterns and bold visual style were created. Finally, brand guidelines were produced to ensure all elements would be applied consistently and effectively in the future.
